Terms and conditions

Bizy Work Days is run by The Bizy Shop LLC, a Kansas company ("we"). By using the site, RSVPing, coming to a session, or hosting one, you agree to these terms. Questions: info@thebizyshop.com.

Who can come

Adults 18 and older, or younger people with an adult who's 18 or older.

How sessions work

Sessions are drop-in working sessions. Hosts set the focus, time, place, and seats, and run their own sessions. We list them and send the emails. We don't own the venues, and hosts aren't our employees. Sessions are free unless the session page shows a price.

Paid sessions

Some sessions cost money to hold a seat. The price, any sales tax, and any booking fee show on the session page before you pay. You pay on Stripe's checkout page; we never see or store your card details.

Your seat is held for 30 minutes while you pay. If you don't finish paying, the seat goes back on sale.
If you cancel before the refund cutoff on the session page (72 hours before the start unless it says otherwise), we refund the price and tax to your card. The booking fee isn't refunded.
If you cancel after the cutoff, or don't come, there's no refund.
Instead of cancelling, you can give your seat to someone else at no charge. Any payment between you and them is up to you.
If a paid session is full, you can join the waitlist for free. When a seat opens, we email the next person and hold the seat for them for 12 hours (less if the session starts sooner). If they don't pay in time, it goes to the next person.
If we or the host cancel a session, everyone who paid gets a full refund, booking fee included.
Refunds go back to the card you paid with. Your bank may take 5 to 10 days to show them.

House rules

Be respectful. No harassment of any kind.
Reserved a seat? Please come. If plans change, cancel from the reminder email so someone on the waitlist gets it.
Protect focus time. Keep heads-down time quiet and take calls outside.
No selling or pitching to other attendees during the session. Swapping cards afterward is fine.
What you see stays here. Don't share other people's screens, numbers, or business details.
Respect the venue. Follow its rules and leave the space as you found it.
Read the session's own rules. Each host may have rules for their space, listed on the session page.
Hosts can ask anyone to leave who doesn't follow these.

Your account

You sign in with a code or link sent to your email, so keep your email account secure. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

What you write

Your goals and your answers to "Did you get it done?" stay yours. Your host sees them for their session. We may use totals that don't name you, like the count of finished tasks on the homepage.

Photos

Hosts and The Bizy Shop may take photos at sessions and share them, for example on social media or this site. If you'd rather not be in photos, tell the host at the start.

Hosting

When you publish a session, you agree that:

The details are accurate, and you have permission to use the venue.
You'll run the session in line with the house rules and the venue's rules.
You'll use attendees' information only to run your session. You won't add them to your own mailing lists without their permission.
You're responsible for your session. We may edit, cancel, or remove any session or host.

Your own risk

You come to sessions at your own risk. The Bizy Shop isn't responsible for individual sessions or what happens at them, including the venue, the host, other attendees, or lost, stolen, or damaged belongings. The site and sessions are provided as they are, without warranties. To the extent the law allows, The Bizy Shop isn't liable for any indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the session, which for free sessions is zero.

Privacy

The privacy policy covers what we collect and how we use it.

The law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas.

If these terms change, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
